Sheikh Mohammed meets the Arab League Secretary-General

A meeting was held between Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Arab League Secretary-General, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. On the sidelines of the World Government Summit, the meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.

Sheikh Mohammed meets the Arab League Secretary-GeneralDuring the meeting, the Arab League discussed regional and international developments as well as efforts to enhance cooperation between Arab countries. His Highness commended the Arab League for its role in strengthening Arab solidarity and coordinating member states across sectors to meet regional aspirations.

UAE’s inspiring development model and commitment to investing in future sectors was praised by the Arab League Secretary-General. Further, he highlighted the significance of the World Government Summit in shaping a new future for governments.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group; Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council; and Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Government Summit Organisation.
